Brand values task 100-10-1

Choose 5 brands. For EACH brand:

1) Sum up the brand values in 100 words, making reference to Dyer’s lines of appeal.

2) Distil the brand values into one sentence of no more than 10 words.

3) Sum up the brand in ONE word.

Nike:

1) Nike's brand image is centred around high quality sports equipment that are perceived as being fashionable and stylish in order to suit customer needs. They want to come across as being versatile which in my opinion is probably the reason why they have ventured out to design different items for example trainers. Nike fit into several of Dyer’s lines of appeal: Happy families - everyone wants to belong, which is probably the reason why Nike have different boots that vary from less real to the professional boots that football players wear. Having a real pair of boots makes people feel as if they are just as good as those who are playing the sport within a profession environment could also link to elite people or experts.

2) The Nike brand is about diversity for all retail clients

3) Diverse

Apple:

1) Apple's brand image is is clever because they make aim to make simplistic products that have top of the range technology within their market. Apple make it seem as if each of their products makes them feel unique (which is linked to self-importance & pride) but in reality their customers are far from different. They all have the same devices which they link to rich, luxurious lifestyles that just have different models but function exactly the same. The Apple brand also links to successful careers as most of their customers are people who are constantly on the move. Their intuitive design allows their customer to stay connected to the world wide web 24 hours - continuously around the clock.

2) The Apple brand is about ensuring quality products for customers

3) Quality

Gucci:

1) Gucci's brand image in my opinion is centred around fashionable accessories that are link fairly close with a wealthy status. Gucci items for example their belts alone are priced within the high hundreds of pounds where only the rich, luxurious lifestyles can afford. Being someone within society who owns one of these items increases the persons self-importance & pride and how they view themselves within society. Owning one of these items makes people feel as if they are part of a society that sees them as being an aspiration figure who people want to be like which in my opinion is linked to happy families - everyone wants to belong.

2) The Gucci brand is a representation of high-end clothing and accessories.

3) Fashionable

VUE:

1) VUE's brand image in my opinion is centred around showing all the latest films in hd quality. VUE show a range of films that range from things genres liked to: romance, action, thriller, etc. Within he generation we live in, people tend to go on dates to watch movies at places such as VUE and ODEN as they are seen as a glamorous place that tend to be linked to successful romance and love. Places like VUE have seating areas that are seen to be more for the rich, luxurious lifestyles as they cost a little more than the average seat if your feeling to send at bit more money. At the same time, VUE also have standard seats that are affordable for happy families to sit comfortably and not feel discouraged by those who can afford the more expensive seats.

2)  VUE is linked to having a fun out with your friends

3) Treat

London zoo

1) London zoo in my opinion is centred around being a controlled environment where happy families are able to take a day of away from the world of work and go an experience the natural and the natural world that they never new existed. Young children in particular love to go and see animals like miniature monkeys roaming around their cages. Things like this seem to one of the most memorable experience within their childhood. London zoo aim to use the money gained from tourists to help preserve the art, culture and history linked to the endangered wildlife.

2) London zoo is aimed to preserve the living endangered wildlife
